[CLOSED] Urge the Senate to vote YES on VOCA Fix bill and vote NO on the “Toomey Amendment” – CLOSED

Catastrophic Cuts to the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Fund Jeopardize Victim Safety and Stability

VOCA funding is in extreme jeopardy. Deposits into the Crime Victims Fund (CVF) have dropped dramatically in the last several years leading to substantial cuts to the VOCA victim assistance grants. Now victim services organizations are facing budget cuts, staff layoffs, and even program closures while the demand for victim services is growing. This is truly a crisis for victims.

The VOCA Fix would restore deposits to the fund and stave off more drastic cuts. Please join us in urging every Senator to vote “YES” on the VOCA Fix bill that passed the House (H.R. 1652) and NO on the “Toomey Amendment,” which would kill the VOCA Fix bill.

Thank you for addressing the needs of survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking.
