While NNEDV commends Congress for taking steps to protect survivors in the CARES Act, serious gaps for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors remain. This is because while the nation is encouraged to stay home to reduce transmission of the COVID-19 virus, we also know that home is not safe for many adults and children.
