[CLOSED] Tell Congress: Protect Our Nation’s Progress on Domestic Violence
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), the Family Violence Prevention Services Act (FVPSA), and the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), have fueled our undeniable national progress towards understanding and addressing violence against women. Despite this progress, shelters, rape crisis centers, and other domestic and sexual violence service providers continue to face budget shortfalls as more victims come forward, and some programs are forced to turn away victims who are desperate. Funding cuts would erode our nation’s progress on this critical issue.
Ask Congress to support robust investments in federal programs that prevent and end domestic and sexual violence, and reject cuts to these critical lifesaving programs
