The following Assessment Tool was created by the New York State Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer Intimate Partner Violence Network’s (the Network) Shelter Access Committee to assist intimate partner violence1 programs in assessing for Power and Control in intimate partner relationships. The tool was created to ensure that survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) across the spectrum of gender identity and sexual orientation can access safety, support, and services.
