Your Voices for Domestic Violence Awareness on the Football Field

October 22, 2014

Earlier this year, more than 2,200 people signed our petition for NFL players to wear purple during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Though the NFL will not be joining us in wearing purple this year, our efforts have helped to lead the NFL to air powerful public service announcements and create internal policies that address domestic violence — a significant step toward making real change.

While we are disappointed that the NFL will not be joining us in “Going Purple” for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we were humbled and deeply touched by the hundreds of thoughtful messages that our supporters shared through this petition. The following collection shows the incredible strength, resilience, and passion of survivors, advocates, and allies across the country.
