NNEDV Announces Winner of the 2014 DREAM Award, Kristi VanAudenhove
November 10, 2014
The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) has re-launched the Diane Reese Excellence in Advocacy in the Movement (DREAM) Award.
The DREAM Award is named in honor of Diane Reese, an advocate and leader whose legacy continues to shape and inform our collective vision of a world in which gendered violence no longer exists.
At this year’s Coalition Roundtable Conference in Portland, OR (search #RoundtablePDX on social media to learn more and see photos), NNEDV announced the winner of this prestigious award: Kristi VanAudenhove, Executive Director at the Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Action Alliance.
Kristi exemplifies the outstanding commitment to social justice and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence that Diane Reese showed throughout her life. Kristi incorporates and demonstrates the spirit and promise of the movement in all aspects of life, emulating Ms. Reese’s commitment to clear and ethical communication, her eagerness to collaborate in the spirit of true partnership, and her deep respect for the dignity, worth, and humanity in each one of us.
