Qualifications:
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize workloads, work both independently and collaboratively, interpret and follow policies and procedures, work with interruptions and problem-solve.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with staff and community members; ability to work with people from diverse age, ethnic, economic and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and grammatically both verbally and in writing; must be comfortable with public speaking and be able to address sensitive issues in a non judgmental manner.
- Ability to listen actively.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Governed by professional code of ethics which includes the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Supportive of agency programs, policies and philosophy.
Required Training and Experience:
- Three years experience with non-profits or proven experience working with related business or any combination of work experience and education which demonstrates the ability to consistently perform the duties of the position.
- Experience in grant writing, budgeting and fiscal management, and planning.
Desired Training and Experience:
- BS or MS in related fields.
- Experience working with a Board of Directors.
- Experience working with the public in a community setting.
- Management experience in domestic violence and sexual assault programs.
