Qualifications:
● Must be self-motivated with a passion for meeting and exceeding goals;
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required;
● At least 8+ years of professional experience in non-profit organizations, including demonstrated development/fundraising experience;
● Outstanding organizational skills;
● Excellent computer and research skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
● Excellent interpersonal skills;
● Superior written and verbal communication skills;
● Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people;
● Evidence of commitment to the work of the non-profit sector;
● Action-oriented, adaptable, flexible, and innovative in thinking and approach to problem-solving.

Description:
The Development Director is a key role that helps drive the agency’s growth by securing resources and building donor relations. The ideal Director will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset. The Director will supervise other development team members and partner closely with the grants management arm of the development program to help chart Sojourner House’s future growth. This position is not a grant writing role.
