Celebrate Your Dad by Supporting NNEDV

June 15, 2014

June 15, 2014 – This Father’s Day, the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) recognizes the impact our fathers and father figures have had on our lives and thank them for all that they’ve given us.

This year, we take special note of the role that our dads play as supporters of women’s rights and champions of gender equality. Fathers often play a special, significant role in the lives of their children and have the opportunity to promote healthy relationships and nonviolence. “I’m so grateful for my father, who taught me so much about love and respect, and who now sends me news articles about domestic violence and attends rallies against abuse in his community,” said Shaina Goodman, NNEDV’s Public Policy Attorney. “It means the world to me to know that he stands with us in the movement to end domestic violence.”

Make this year’s celebration of your dad (or someone who’s been like a dad to you – or even just a terrific dad you know) special and significant by honoring him with a donation to NNEDV! Your contribution will support a national organization whose work raises the voices of those women and men who have survived domestic violence.
