Our lives have gone mobile. Not only do most people carry mobile phones, but more of them are smartphone users – the equivalent of carrying a computer in the palm of your hand. Add tablet computers to the mix and the numbers are even more impressive.
For survivors of domestic or sexual violence or stalking, their mobile phone may be a critical component to their safety and privacy planning. Additionally, mobile phones can also play a role in violence prevention.
NNEDV’s Safety Net Project created a downloadable resource to assist agencies, partnerships, and communities with understanding mobile phone application options and considering how they can best help victims of domestic violence.
