16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Launches on November 25
November 25, 2013
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is an international campaign with over 5,167 participating organizations from more than 187 countries. The start and end dates, November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) and December 10 (International Human Rights Day), symbolically link violence against women and human rights, emphasizing that such violence is a violation of human rights.
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign has been used as an organizing strategy by individuals and groups around the world to call for the elimination of all forms of violence against women.
