NNEDV and NAESV Advocacy Days 2026
Be Heard, Take Action, End Violence
The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) and the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence (NAESV) co-hosted our annual Advocacy Days in Washington, DC, June 2-3, 2026.
Advocacy Days were open to domestic violence, sexual assault, dual, and tribal coalitions, as well as invited guests.
Registration
We welcomed the participation of as many state and territory coalition members as possible. We encouraged coalitions to invite survivors who wanted to speak from their lived experience, and first-time participants, as well as those of you who join us each year in DC.
Registration is now closed. Please contact Advocacy@NNEDV.org with any questions.
Note: Registration was limited to a maximum of four (4) participants per coalition, including your invited guests. The registration fee was waived for invited guests of coalitions who were survivors or representatives from culturally specific local programs; this ticket option could be selected during the registration process.
Agenda
- Tuesday, June 2: Policy forum at the hotel venue
- Wednesday, June 3: Congressional meetings (Note: These meetings were self-scheduled by participants.)
Pre-Advocacy Days Trainings over Zoom:
- Pre-Advocacy Days Webinar #1: May 5, 4:00-5:00 PM EST
- Topic: Advocacy Days 2026 Logistics
- Pre-Advocacy Days Webinar #2: May 14, 4:00-5:00 PM EST
- Topic: Congressional Requests and Remaining Questions
- The Advocacy Days pre-training session was conducted via Zoom, and Zoom information was sent to registered participants. This session was closed captioned in English. ASL and Spanish interpretation were available upon request.
Travel and Hotel
We secured a room block for coalitions to book directly with the hotel. Hotel and travel costs were not included in registration rates, and details on booking your hotel rooms within the block were provided upon completion of registration. We had a hotel block reserved between June 1-3. You received more detailed information after you completed registration. Hotel reservations within our block must have been booked no later than May 11 at 12:00 AM EST!
Note: To ensure you secured your space, we recommended booking your room as soon as possible. While we did not have official overflow hotels, if our room block filled up, we provided a list of alternative options for you to book independently. Please note that we could not guarantee the same rate as our room block.
Wednesday Congressional meetings were in the U.S. House and Senate buildings on Capitol Hill. We provided maps to help you navigate. Participants were responsible for transportation to and from these events, and staff were available to help you navigate if needed.
Accessibility
Language interpretation (including, but not limited to, ASL and Spanish) was provided upon request and could be requested in the registration form. Requests after May 3 could not be guaranteed.
Other mobility and learning accessibility needs could be indicated in registration as well. (For example: materials in Braille, wheelchair access, materials in large print, etc.)
Every effort was made to accommodate advance requests; on-site requests could not be guaranteed. Reasonable accommodations were provided during meeting sessions. Please contact us at Advocacy@NNEDV.org with any questions or for more assistance.
Health and Safety
We want to acknowledge the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on our nation and survivors and understand that it is still very much an ongoing crisis. The best way to protect oneself from COVID-19 is to wear a proper mask, complete a full vaccine schedule, and test when appropriate. This was a multi-day, in-person event where social distancing was not guaranteed, and masking was not required.
