NNEDV’s 5th Annual Economic Justice Summit
The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) hosted our 5th Annual Economic Justice Summit virtually March 8‐10, 2022.
As part of our ongoing work to highlight and address the intersection of domestic violence and economic security, this national, three‐day Summit brought together advocates, state and territorial domestic violence coalitions, national experts, and allies to discuss and share strategies to improve economic security for domestic violence survivors.
EJ Summit featured speakers, panel discussions, and workshops on a range of topics. Our goals for EJ Summit were to provide a space to examine the systems that inform economic justice work; to share concrete and innovative tools; to identify emerging issues, including national and local policy solutions; and to strengthen partnerships between the movement to end domestic violence and the anti-poverty movement.
Summit Dates:
Tuesday, March 8 – Thursday, March 10, 2022
The Summit was virtual, taking place for three (3) hours over three (3) days. Each day launched at 2:00 PM EST with a General Session, followed by a live breakout session at 3:30 – 5:00 PM EST.
Participants were able to choose breakout sessions closer to Summit. To accommodate our friends in other time zones, we then provided a re-launch of the General Session at 6:00 PM EST.
Summit Theme:
A Culture of Caretaking
This included caretaking of anyone impacted by the effects of domestic violence – whether that be surviving it, working in it, caring about someone who is facing it, or wanting to end it.
Summit Registration:
Registration is now closed. Registration was $150 per attendee. Please contact us with any questions.
