WomensLaw staff is constantly updating the “plain language” legal information and resources on WomensLaw.org. In addition to making sure that the existing information is up-to-date, staff also adds new information on a regular basis.

As part of our collaboration with the Korean American Family Services organization, we created two new Quick Guides to help survivors understand the criminal processes as well as immigration options for victims of domestic violence, trafficking, and other crimes.

These quick guides, as well as the new Remote Hearings quick guide, have been translated into Korean.

On our Rhode Island Restraining Orders page, we added links for all of the crimes listed in What if I don’t qualify for a restraining order? that can be the basis for a criminal no-contact order.

We translated into English recently revised information on the Puerto Rico Orders of Protection in Favor of a Minor, six recently added crimes on our Puerto Rico Crimes page, and recent updates to our information on the Puerto Rico Protection Orders for Domestic Violence page.

In our Illinois Workplace Protections page, we translated into Spanish recent revisions to the newly created question How many days can I take off from work? and recent revisions to the questions What actions, specifically, can I use my time off from work to do? and How much advance notice do I need to give my employer to take time off from work? And what proof do I need to provide?
