Washington, DC – Today, the world recognizes GivingTuesday – a movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. This GivingTuesday, the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) and Ring are pleased to announce the fourth year of the Ring Donation Program for Domestic Violence Survivors. We are proud to continue providing tools and additional support to survivors in need.
To date, Ring has generously donated 34,980 Ring Doorbells and Outdoor Cams (formerly Stick-Up Cams) to over 757 nonprofit organizations and federally recognized tribal organizations across the country whose primary mission is to support domestic violence survivors. Organizations provide these devices to survivors who are interested in using them as a part of their safety planning. In addition to the cost of the device, Ring has covered additional costs, including shipping and subscriptions.
“We are proud to announce the fourth year of our partnership with the National Network to End Domestic Violence and expand our work to support survivor safety. We remain committed to working with NNEDV to empower survivors and look forward to our continued collaboration,” said Raquel Medrano, Amazon Community Engagement.
This year, an additional 10,000 Ring devices are now available. Interested programs may apply here via TechSoup.
“Technology can make a world of difference for domestic violence survivors, helping them access resources, connect with loved ones, document abuse, and keep themselves and their children safe at home,” said Tonia Moultry-Pace, NNEDV Interim President & CEO. “When survivors have access to the tools they choose – including security cameras – they can begin to regain the power and control that abusers have taken from them. NNEDV is deeply grateful for Ring’s continued investment not only in survivors’ access to technology, but also in their safety and peace of mind.”
Devices are available in bundles of six Doorbells or six Outdoor Cams. Eligible organizations (including those that received devices in previous years) may order up to 48 devices (eight bundles) per organization during the 2025-2026 program year. Organizations pay only a $60 administrative fee per bundle, which covers TechSoup’s operating costs. These significant savings make these devices accessible to many organizations, especially during a year of extensive funding cuts and tightened budgets.
Key to the program is NNEDV’s Safety Net team, which shares privacy and security best practices with recipients. The team helps ensure that advocates are prepared to support survivors’ safe, informed use of Ring devices as part of their safety plans. Additional FAQs and resources can be found here.
As one recipient organization shared: “The Ring Donation Program has had an extraordinary impact on the survivors we serve. The feeling of safety it has provided has been overwhelming. Survivors share that, for the first time in a long time, they can sleep a little easier knowing they have another layer of protection. Quite simply, it is saving lives.”
Interested domestic violence organizations can review eligibility requirements and request devices here.
