The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV)’s WomensLaw project and Esperanza United are partnering on the Reimagining Enhanced Access and Capacity of the Hotline (REACH) Project. Together, we are enhancing and expanding the capacity of the WomensLaw Email Hotline, which provides free, confidential legal information and support in both English and Spanish for victims and survivors of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking; their advocates; and their loved ones.
Staffed by trauma-informed, survivor-centered attorneys, the WomensLaw Email Hotline provides individualized, confidential support, empowering people with the information they need to understand their legal rights and determine what steps they can take. We’re staffing up this invaluable resource, getting more attorneys to answer questions and provide personalized legal information and referrals, with a special interest in increasing Latin@ survivors’ use of the WomensLaw Email Hotline.
We are particularly grateful to work together on REACH, because we know survivors’ needs are complex. They are dealing with issues of intimate partner violence, immigration, family and custody disputes, and more. As two national resource centers, NNEDV and Esperanza United are equipped to understand and guide through the multiple legal challenges faced by Latin@ survivors and the survivor community at large.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Check back here for more updates on REACH. We will be updating this space regularly with more information on the project, ways for you to get involved, and key findings. Stay tuned!
