You’re Invited to Join Us… on Google+

October 24, 2013

You’re invited to join the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) for an online panel discussion of Surviving Evil through a Google+ Hangout On Air.

Who: This panel will be moderated by Kim Gandy, President of NNEDV. The panelists include:

  • Teri Jendusa Nicolai, a survivor of domestic violence from Wisconsin;
  • Paulette Sullivan Moore, Vice President of Public Policy at NNEDV; and
  • Patti Seger, Executive Director of End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin.

What: This panel will discuss the October 23 episode of Surviving Evil on Investigation Discovery, which featured Ms. Jendusa Nicolai’s shocking story of survival. Depending on audience questions, the discussion may also cover healing and loss, the effects of the government shutdown on domestic violence shelters across the country, safety planning and lethality assessments, how to find resources in your community, privacy and confidentiality in a changing world of technology, and more.

When: Tuesday October 29, 9:00 p.m. Eastern / 8:00 p.m. Central

Where: Live on Google+ and YouTube. Sign up here and we’ll email you the link on October 29!

Why: October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. NNEDV is closing the month with this unique opportunity to hear directly from a survivor about her experiences and from our panel of domestic violence experts. You will be able to ask questions to our panelists.

RSVP: Let us know if you plan to attend!

What would you like to hear the panelists discuss? Send us your questions!
Tweet us your questions (@NNEDV) or email them in (Communications@nnedv.org) by Monday, October 28. Panelists will answer questions as time allows.
