Records Retention and Destruction
The following are guidelines presented by NNEDV regarding file retention, destruction, and transfer. Retention guidelines and laws may vary from state to state and state guidelines or laws may conflict with federal laws. In the case of a conflict, agencies should follow the more conservative law.
