Attorney (2 positions) - Victim's Rights Law Center (Portland, OR)
Written by Natalia Gomez NNEDV
The Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC) is a non-profit organization based in Boston with a satellite office in Portland, OR. They are the first (and remain one of only a few) non-profit legal services agencies dedicated to providing free legal services to victims of rape and sexual assault on civil (non-tort) matters, such as immigration, employment, education, housing, public benefits, and more.
The Portland office is seeking two attorneys. One attorney will be implementing a partnership VRLC has with Transition Projects, Inc., which provides wrap around services to individuals who are homeless. The second attorney will be working with the National Director of Training & Technical Assistance, Jessie Mindlin, to implement a 2-year national privacy project. The full job descriptions are below. Both positions are funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women.
