Media Advocacy Project

NNEDV and The Allstate Foundation are partnering on a new initiative - the Media Advocacy Project.  The Media Advocacy Project will work to improve media coverage of domestic violence issues and work with domestic violence advocates from across the country to become more effective in communicating with the media.

NNEDV will launch a new website, www.stopdomesticviolence.info, which will provide online tools and resources for journalists for all media platforms.  The website will also include an online training manual for domestic violence advocates that will include communications strategy, building media relationships and handling media coverage of domestic violence.

NNEDV plans to launch www.stopdomesticviolence.info in Spring 2009.
