edwardsphotoNNEDV applauds U.S. Representative Donna Edwards (D-Md.) for being named one of Esquire Magazine’s top ten best members of Congress.  Rep. Edwards is a co-founder of NNEDV and its first executive director.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we congratulate Representative Edwards for earning this distinction,” said Sue Else, NNEDV’s president.  “Congresswoman Edwards is one of our greatest champions on Capitol Hill and a longtime leader in the movement to end domestic and sexual violence.”

The October issue of Esquire Magazine includes the top ten ranking and a feature piece on Congresswoman Edwards entitled “What I’ve Learned.” Rep. Edwards was the only woman and African American to be named one of the top ten best members of Congress by the magazine.
