NNEDV's Safety Net Project helps agencies and communities respond effectively to the ways that technology impacts victims of domestic and dating violence, sexual violence and stalking. We provide resources, training and technical assistance to assist U.S. DOJ Office of Violence Against Women Grant Programs (OVW grantees) with identifying and addressing victim safety and confidentiality concerns that arise from using technology or collecting and sharing information. We also provide resources to support safety and confidentiality when victims relocate.

Tips Sheets & Charts for OVW Grantees:

These are created to help OVW grantees identify technology and confidentiality issues that may need addressing. NNEDV's Safety Net Project can work with OVW grantees to do more in-depth reviews of your technology plans and implementation, policies and practices to ensure they most effectively address victim safety and confidentiality.

Frequently Asked Questions on VAWA & Confidentiality for OVW Grantees:

OVW Grantees ask many nuanced questions about legal confidentiality obligations related to the federal U.S. VAWA and state/territorial/ tribal law.

Template Forms, Policies & Agreements for OVW Grantees:

We have several model template forms, policies and agreements to make it easier for OVW grantees to quickly implement effective policies. OVW grantees may adapt and use these templates in your agencies and innovative partnerships.

Contact Us {subject: Technology Safety} to request electronic copies of our other adaptable Technology & Confidentiality template forms, policies and MOUs (Memorandums Of Understanding) for agencies and colocated or coordinated community responses.
