September 2012
September 13th marks the 18th Anniversary of the passage of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
This landmark law, passed in 1994, has forever transformed and improved our nation's response to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. Vice President Joe Biden released a statement addressing the strides towards achieving the goal that every woman deserves to be safe from violence. We celebrate past achievements and look forward to the future of ending violence against women!
NNEDV is partnering with No Woman, No Cry on its second annual 5K Walk/Run in memory of Jenny Vaughn Bates
