NNEDV on Friday was on hand for Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill, as part of April's Financial Literacy Month activities. It provided financial information to lawmakers and the community specifically geared toward survivors of intimate partner violence.

In recognition of March 10 as National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, the National Network to End Domestic Violence today announced that it is the recipient of a $100,000 grant from the M·A·C AIDS Fund (MAF). The award is part of a $5-million grants initiative recently announced by the M·A·C AIDS Fund as part of the 2011 VIVA GLAM campaign, led by spokesperson Lady Gaga.

NNEDV today recognized March 8 as International Women’s Day. Today marks the 100th anniversary of this special day when the world over honors the political, economic and social achievements of women.
