Last week marked the end of Sue Else's six-year tenure as president of NNEDV. Colleagues thanked her for her groundbreaking, innovative leadership and warmly wished her all the best in her next endeavors.

NNEDV is partnering with No Woman, No Cry again in 2012 to host the 2nd annual No Woman, No Cry 5K in memory of Jenny Vaughn Bates. In 2011, the first-year event raised nearly $20,000 to benefit both NNEDV and the Jenny Vaughn Bates Memorial Trust Fund.

NNEDV is celebrating 10 years of educating those who work in the field of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking on technology abuse and safety. For the past decade, the Safety Net Project at NNEDV has trained more than 60,000 victim advocates, police officers, prosecutors, judges, leading technology companies, and policy makers from the world over on how technology can be misused to harm victims and how victim advocates and survivors can use technology safely and effectively.

Chicago – NNEDV today joined U.S. Representatives Judy Biggert (R-IL-13) and Robert J. Dold (R-IL-10) in urging the House and Senate to swiftly pass a bipartisan Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) that meets the needs of all victims.

Soma Intimates is partnering with NNEDV again this summer on its "Giving is Beautiful" Bra Donation Campaign, which will run from Monday, July 9th thru Sunday, August 12th. Each of Soma Intimates' 192 botiques and outlets around the nation will work with a local domestic violence shelter to help women in need in their own communities. NNEDV is thrilled to partner with Soma Intimates on this campaign to make a difference for women and raise awareness about domestic violence.
