Your calls worked! On the heels of President Obama's 1st public address to the nation pleading for passage of an Economic Recovery bill, the Senate has just passed their version (61-37). The Senate version (unlike the House) contains $820 billion, including $400 million that would specifically create/sustain jobs for victim advocates.

On Tuesday, January 13, 2009, the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics released its new report, Stalking Victimization in the United States. The study found that during a 12-month period, an estimated 3.4 million people (age 18 or older) were victims of stalking.
