ICADV Call for Workshop Proposals
The Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008. As ICADV looks back at the progress it has made in the domestic violence movement, it is also looking to the future. ICADV wants to continue to build upon the foundation that was put in place by its founding mothers. Those that come after will need to strengthen the efforts and forge new arenas in the march to end gender based violence. This will require honoring the past as ICADV explores new avenues and new allies. Please save the date and join ICADV as it discusses ways to continue this journey.
ICADV is looking for original presentations that address the following topics but not limited to: domestic violence - dating violence - cultural competency - reaching underserved populations - forming community partnerships - leadership - empowerment - effective communication - appreciate inquiry - legal advocacy - general advocacy - children's advocacy-LGBT-Survivors who are differently abled.
